Mechanical Engineering

The academic program of the mechanical engineering department has been designed in accordance with the contemporary programs used in the world as well as to meet the needs of the shipbuilding and marine engineering sectors.
Our curriculum offers three options: machine design, energy systems and mechatronic systems. These options have wide industrial applications both in Turkey and in the world. Our graduates can find employment opportunities abroad, in Turkey and in industrial establishments in Istanbul.
Mechanical engineering department courses are given by faculty members who have industrial and academic experience in their fields. Students are prepared for employment after graduation by conducting projects done within the four-year academic program and at the graduation stage. In addition, students are required to do internships in industrial organizations during the summer holidays.
In addition to the theoretical courses, the courses are carried out practically in advanced laboratories. The academic program consists of 8 semesters lasting 4 years. Our courses are taught in English.
